This blog includes my adventures, book reviews, short stories, essays and more, all written in a comical, light-hearted way. I write about things that I am interested in, that being mainly classic literature, Latin and history. I include photographs that I have taken with my Canon Ixus 60 that I bought in Bath. An ironic fact about me as a writer is that I could quite possibly be the worst speller you've ever had the misfortune to come across. Somtimes peopel cann't tel what I'm writting! Okay, that bit was a joke, but I don't think my blog has any sort of spell check and I really am a bad speller, so if my spelling triggers you, I would be happy to recieve any gentle corrections from you via email, and I can then correct my spelling and improve my blog and further learning! I would hate to enter university and academia behind my fellows in a subject as simple as spelling, so your corrections will surely benefit me. (This does not apply to differences between US and UK spelling as I use a mixture of both, but feel free to correct them as well!)

Who even am I?

Hiya! My name is Naomi Jones. I am a 19-year-old creative writer based in Wessex, UK in pursuit of what in the world I am actually meant to be doing with my life. Currently, I am independantly studying Latin and history, though I dip into philosophy, literature and rhetoric, all in my own personal curriculum. I am very passionate about learning. At the moment, I work as a governess in a household of four young children, instilling their love for history and literature while they are still young. One day I will attend a university in the UK or USA to study English literature, or classical liberal arts, or creative writing, or history, or whatever I decide when the time comes. Then, my hope is to become a best-selling novelist.
